My digital story is about the dog breed of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. The breed is from England and they came over to the US in the 1920s. This toy breed is bred as a loving companion for just about anyone.
I followed the Personalization Principle in this story by telling the story from my dog's perspective (including breed traits), using a conversational tone, and telling the story using a visible author/story teller - Cowboy Charlie.
What did I learn? I learned how to (or tried to) use VoiceThread. I also learned that it wasn't as easy as I first thought - creating a digital story. It takes a lot of pre-planning to ensure the story is interesting and is told using the Personalization Principle. I rather enjoyed this challenging assignment.
