Multimedia Instruction Project One





Multimedia principles I followed in this course embrace the basics of e-learning, which include words and graphics. However, the text in this course is minimal. I used representational graphics throughout to illustrate the appearance of an object that resulted in less text as well. The animation of the Myplate also provided a bit more interactivity of multimedia and narration.

Contiguity principles I followed include placing the text near the corresponding graphic. I also used principle 2 where the narration synchronizes with the animation of the MyPlate food groups.

Creating My Learning Log

I am creating my learning log for Edtech 513 and it will include posting all artifacts created during this spring 2012 semester. These artifacts will be combined with others from previous classes to comprise my portfolio. In this class, Edtech 513, I will use a blogging platform to create a website based on the following AECT standard:

2.3 Computer-Based Technologies
Computer-based technologies are ways to produce or deliver materials using microprocessor-based resources.

Creating a blog website, that directly aligns with standard 2.3 Computer-Based Technologies, will include my class projects that will be delivered using a technology resource, such as a website on a computer. Sharing my class materials in this blog will prove easier and faster for review by my peers and the professor. Learning how to apply this standard while learning multimedia will be an exciting challenge throughout the semester. I am ready to start learning!
